This may be the most significant milestones our babies can make. To deprive Baby of standing on their own, unassisted is a huge misdemeanor. The transition from all fours to standing is a human rite of passage. And the tremendous sense of accomplishment belongs to Baby.
There is absolutely no need to stand Baby up, instead be patient, wait to see the joy on you baby’s face when he pulls his upper body over his lower, and aligns his spine, engaging his core to find his balance. Uncertain at first, he may fail, and try again. Trust in his process and capability, stay close by, should he fall, and give him the space to find his footing.
When he accomplishes his human bipedal maturity, he is no longer relegated to the floor, his entire perspective changes. He mimics your physicality, and has transitioned from an animalistic posture to that specifically human. Celebrate with him.
“You stood up, you are standing on your own two feet. You can see all around the room and out the window!” The world is his oyster.
